Dentistry without
the dread.

Most people who come to us haven't seen a dentist in years. There's no lecture about that here — just a calm room, a clear explanation, and a plan you agree to before anything begins.

What actually happens

Your first visit, start to finish.

Three stages, about an hour in total. Nothing is done to your teeth on day one unless you're in pain and ask us to.

Stage one

We listen first

A conversation in the consulting room, not the chair. What's bothering you, what you've had done before, and what you'd change if you could.

About 15 minutes
Stage two

A proper look

Full examination with intra-oral photographs and digital X-rays where needed. You see the images on the screen as we go — it's your mouth, you should see it.

About 30 minutes
Stage three

A written plan

Options with costs against each, ranked by what's urgent and what can wait. You take it home. No decision is asked for on the day.

Who you'll see

A small team, on purpose.

You'll see the same clinician each visit. Continuity matters more in dentistry than most people realise.

Before you call

The questions we get most.

I haven't been to a dentist in over ten years. Will I get a telling off?

No. Roughly a third of our new patients say the same thing on the phone. We're interested in where your teeth are now and what you want to do about it — not in what happened in between. There is no lecture.

Are you taking NHS patients?

We're a private practice, so no. We're straight about that because it saves you a phone call. If cost is the barrier, the Northgate Plan spreads it monthly and includes 15% off treatment — for many patients that works out cheaper than NHS Band 2 charges over a year.

I'm genuinely frightened of the dentist. What can you do?

Tell us when you book and we'll allocate a longer appointment so nothing is rushed. You can come in just to see the room and meet us without sitting in the chair. We use a stop signal you control, and we offer sedation for treatment when that's what it takes.

Can I spread the cost?

Yes — interest-free over 6 or 10 months, or over 24 months with interest, on anything above £300. It's arranged in the practice and approval usually takes a few minutes.

What if something goes wrong out of hours?

Registered patients get a direct number that reaches the on-call clinician, not a call centre. Northgate Plan members are covered for dental emergencies worldwide.

Book a consultation.
